First time posting on the forums, any help appreciated.

I moved into a house last year with an electric front door that requires a radio key to unlock it (a bit like a hotel room). No problems setting it up but now the battery needs replaced, and that needs a special spanner. I've managed to work out it's a CES Omega Flex lock and tried contacting CES (a German company) but no reply.

Does anyone know where I can get these spanners, or even where I can get these locks so I can try and track down a replacement spanner?

I've attached a photo of the lock and the picture of the spanner.

Thanks, Danny.

Are you insured for that lock with your house insurance? I remember reading about how easy they are to crack.

Might be better off just replacing the lock :dunno:

Is it single sided ? if so it will be easier to remove it from the door, im sure you could open it up with a pair of circlip pliers once off

tbh I would replace it with a high security dimple key euro, unless access I required by a 3rd party

Thanks for the replies.

An update - the company CES have got back to me. The spanner I need is only made in Germany. It costs £7 plus £19 shipping! It's a specialised part as it's external facing so can't be too easily tampered with (the rest of the lock can be removed with a screwdriver and hex key). I think I will go for that and curse the former owner for not having a normal front door.

Its a standard door, it CAN use a standard/high security euro cylinder for around 20 quid you just need to work out the size
