Hello all,
I am trying to change a central heating control unit.
At present i have fitted a Randall 3060. Also fitted with this is a Honeywell room stat.
As it stands at the mo i select what i want on the controller and set room stat temp, when it gets to below that temp the back boiler will fire and central heating kicks in . Warm house
Due to revamp of kitchen i want to change my controller with a Drayton Tempus 1. (looks more moderner so the wife likes it )
Now i have disconnected the wires from the old Randall and tried to wire in the new unit BUT.........
If i bypass the room stat and wire the CH pump and Boiler straight into the live feed it works, but any other combination fails miserably.
Has anyone got any ideas what i may be doing wrong
Thanks alot

did you mark the wires from the old clock?#
Do you have a motorisized valve for the hot water?
The 3060 (and system) doesn;'t allow for the heating to work without the hot water being on, where as the new does (but wont) _________________ www.hintonheating.com

Hello HH,
Thanks for the reply....
Finally after much head scratching i have managed to get it working.
It was all to do with the switch wire into the room stat and which connection was live in the new controller.
Fortunately all sorted
Thanks matie.
