Hi ropper
A cavity tray on new brickwork is the cost of a roll of 18" DPC + a bit of labour if they are being arsey.
A cavity tray inserted into an existing cavity wall is a very different animal.
Do you need building regs for this build? If no then don't worry about it, they should have costed in a chased lead flashing?
If yes then check with building control if they are going to insist on a cavity tray in the existing cavity wall above what will be the roof line of your conservatory (unlikely). _________________ Building Materials Sourcing

Hi Ropper,
I agree with marksson cavity trays on new builds are mandatory but trying to install one into an existing wall would be very difficult and costly if you do not require building regs i would just discount the idea and make sure the lead is chased in properly.
hope this helps _________________ What was the best thing before sliced bread? |
