I have checked Homebase in store and they haven't got any Rug Doctor in stock, should I buy Vax liquid to wash the carpets or could you recommend me a better brand?

Homebase doesn't have any Carpet Cleaning Shampoo in stock so I was loooking on eBay for Carpet Cleaning Shampoo and results came up with few different products,

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAX-ULTRA-CARPET-UPHOLSTERY-CLEANING-SHAMPOO-1-42L-/310330456810?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item484122faea

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VAX-AAA-PET-ODOUR-Carpet-Cleaner-SHAMPOO-1-5-LTR-/350107083670?pt=UK_HomeGarden_CLV_Cleaning_CA&hash=item5184022396

Which Carpet Cleaning Shampoo is the best for me to clean the carpets as clean as possible as it's been used for 10 years without a wash and how many Litres is required to wash 1 Dining Room and 3 Bedrooms?

The "F" stands for flipping BTW..

How many lires will depend on how badly soiled the carpets are...

As you have bought a VAX machine, then use the VAX shampoo as recommended in the machines manual for best results.
Regarding amount will, as said above, depend upon how crappy your carpets are and how often you need to run over them with the shampooer to get a result that is to your liking. There is no such calculator as 1 litre of shampoo and water will clean X square meters of carpet, so it is trial and error.
