The Labour Party have today changed their emblem from a rose to a condom as it more accurately reflects their political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of pricks, and gives a false sense of security while you are actually being f*****'

Typical Labour government! Money grabbing, over taxing bl**dy barstewards!! Time they got voted out. ::b :angryfire: :cussing:
I've got a 1.4 Astra and it'll be £210 as far as I can see. We can't afford a newer car, so they're taxing the poor as usual and they still get voted for. Does that mean it'll pay to get a pre-2001 car?

Just the Goverments way of screwing the public again, nothing to do with green issues. ::b
Money will go to putting right all the mistakes Brown has made whilst in office - should be locked up for misuse of public funds. ::b

This bunch of Ar$*h&les are really onto another vote winner here, just another example of labours stupidity and ill thought out policies if this is brought in this will surely be the death knell for them (one smart move they have made)

All a con!!

Mine goes to £300 in March.

My Tax is due in May and I plan to cash my existing tax in in Feb and declare SORN on the car for a day, then say I need to tax it so I am re-taxing again. Save £90 compared to renewing 2 months later and £10 the next year.

Foggy, your boss with the X5 should do something similar if his renewal is poorly timed compared with the tax change - A little bit of work could save him nearly £250

You sure it will be £210? sounds a lot for a 1.4l car!
