Is it safe to leave these cameras openly on display when the car is parked up and unattended?

Mine is permanently fixed, too much hassle to keep removing it.

Hi,

I never leave either our dash cam nor SatNav on display whilst the car is unattended; I think it's just asking to get the car windows broken by some low life high on drink or drugs; the SatNav comes away easily complete with suction cup but the dash cam I simply slide out of the holder only having to press a small plastic lever; it takes less than a minute to remove both these but how long would it take to get a car window replaced and suffer all the hassle associated with it. Low life are looked after very well here in the UK even our law courts seem to be on their side whilst the poor victim is ignored. :pukeleft:

Kind regards, Col.

Sat nav (when used) is always removed along with the suction cup and any "ring" left on the window is also wiped away. The dash cam though is obviously not a sat nav and since they are ridiculously cheap now (I saw them on sale in a Spar corner shop for £12.99) I highly doubt anyone is going to risk smashing the windows to get it.
Of course it goes without saying that I try wherever possible to park the car in safe places that are well lit, I think where and how you park your car is far more important when it comes to preventing crime.
