Can you imagine drug dealers and rapists getting caning as a punishment in this country...........but if there was a vote on it, it would be done on a hourly basis

It would stop a lot of people.

If I was in charge I would give people 3 chances and if they kept breaking the law I would send them to that obscure island where the cannibals live and drop them just off shore Wink

Or if they complained about it I would just terminate them Shocked

Only for persistant, career criminals though- not people caught speeding lol

ok tim, with your 'logic'.............what about someone who rapes a child?

There are obvious degrees of crime, with stealing paper from work being at the lower end of the scale.

"Flogging is widely used in Malaysia for various offences including drug crimes, rape and illegal entry into the country"

What a good idea, we should try that one!

i can see where you going tim but i have to agree with hanks logical thinking.
personally anyone that rapes a child should have this done to them everyday. if you are caught speeding then you should get it once..

did you see that traffic cops on the bbc last night. A thug was chased for 30mins and hit loads of cars (and a bus), nearly killed several people, and dragged a cop along a railing, hurting his legs. He had no licence and no tax and no insurance.

He got 15 months, and was out in 7 months. As soon as he was out, he was driving again.

24 months, and 30 whippings...........that would sort the wee barstuard out.

Instead of taking money in fines, people cought speeding should be made to pay for & take the Advanced Driver test from the IAM.

Nope I don't steal at all.

Speeding is different, it is a stealth tax designed to catch a small percentage of the population and to tax them. If everyone that speeded got done then it would be fair, but it is not fair and only a small percentage get caught.

There was a business man with 12 points and he got caught speeding again, he went to court and they let him keep his license Confused

As long as you pay the fine they don't mind

I never use my mobile when driving, but occassionally I will exceed the speed limit.

There is the technology out there to stop everyone speeding, but the government aren't interested as they will loose millions in revenue.
