NO.

It might be worth shooting some emails off to Canadian firms though. I am sure they will be only too happy to send you some info. Especially if they are short of trades out there.

heh untrue...we just let 500 boat people in with tamil tiger ties.....

As for coming to canada,on the west coast you will be faced with mostly exterior stucco projects for work...quite a bit of EIFS or I think you call it thin coat there not sure ....another name "outsulation" dryvit and a local company called imasco, also sto systems

I have been trying to specialize in interior high end lime work/venetian plaster....it is slowly working ...I re-started the harling or slopdash revolution here on the west coast in about 1997....so there is lots of that being done residential exterior.....took others that long to figure it out ...LOL ...I now wont do one unless for a regular customer

If you are more of an internal plasterer my self ,I would stay on the east coast in the toronto ontario area...I can put you in touch with someone there a brit and a traditional plasterer .....ontario /east coast has more heritage type work and in some cases they still build with brick and block ...whereas west coast it is either wood frame or concrete.

now if you can tape/dryline....you would be fine on either coast ....but it would take a while for you to get established .....it is predominately piece work here with either boarding or the taping part of things with heavy pressure on the labor front...read as more applicators then needed ...if you have some cash ....you could prolly setup on your own pretty quickly once you figured out the ropes and the pricing.

Sorry cant offer any help with visa knowledge ...as I know nothing about it.

If you make it to the west coast get in touch and I can either put you to work ...or put you in touch with someone that can

note : what I will not do, is do it illegally.....you must be fully legal in order to work
