I need a replacement battery and charger for my nephew's model speedboat.

I found an identical battery from a Polish site but I'm reluctant to deal with them. I'd rather I sourced it in the UK.

Can anyone identify what the letters mean on the battery particularly the 'SC'. Single cell perhaps? And what kind of connector this is?

Would a 6v lead acid battery charger charge this? I have one at work.

Its a standard 7.2v ni-mh/ni-cad Pack, the plug is a Tamiya type as used in older radio controlled cars/planes/boats

You assume right 6 x single cells make up a 7.2v pack

eg.

Reasonable quality pack and a good price

Plugs and socket

Edit. in your pic - the left terminal has spread, that may cause it not to charge or charge slowly

Thanks for all your help.

Bob I ordered both from your last post. You've made a wee boy very happy. My nephew I mean not me.

No problem, RC has been a hobby of mine for 20 odd years cars, boats, trucks, boats and even hovercraft, for heath reasons a lot of my models are gathering dust or in dry storage

The 1800 mah pack may come back to life with a few charge/discharge cycles - I have a automated charger that does all that sort of thing for me
