I've heard mixed stuff about sealing plaster with PVA or PVA mixes.
I've stripped some wallpaper and am now faced with bare plaster (well, some painted, some bare).
I was planning on coating it with a PVA/emulsion mix before painting on the top coat? Is this a good plan or a bad plan? I don't really want to fork out for some fancy primer, as I suspect they're largely unnecessary. Would a water/PVA mix be better?
What's do you think? When is it appropriate to use PVA as a sealer and when is it not? Someone has suggested using wallpaper paste to seal instead. THoughts? |

| NEVER pva a bare plastered wall mate. Ask any painter and decorator that!!! cheapest way is a mist coat 3-1 paint and water roller it on, when dry paint away. |
