Hi Guys.
I need your help with some phone wiring please. I want to have a landline in my lounge but all I have is this junction box above my front door (on the inside). I have got an NTE5 master socket in my bedroom so I'm thinking that this junction box is just for an extension.
My question is: what cable do I need from this junction box and can I just have a normal extension socket or do I need another master socket in the lounge?
Thanks in advance

From what I know you have slave boxes after the master and you just wire up like for like.

Hope this helps a little, will be doing my own soon :thumbright: .

Thanks for your reply.

I worked out that this small connection box is an old extension box with the cable from outside that comes from the master socket upstairs so I did as you said and wired it like an extension.
Many thanks
