I have had quite a few gravel rashs on the palms of my hands when coming off a bike as a kid and putting my hands out.

Common for motor-cyclists as well - natural reaction to try and save yourself.

I always wear gloves when I'm on my bike, even if I'm wearing nothing else :-)

Mooncat's remark reminds me of the Queen Fat bottomed girls song. The bike retailers made them replace the seats that the nude girls sat on before they sold the bikes.

And you know why? so they could sell the seats on eBay at a BIG FAT Profit :lol:
