Hi, I need help desperately. Recently my bar soap holder thing in my shower fell off in my hand while i was in the middle of taking a shower! I wasn't particularity attached to it anyway but now i have a large gaping hole in my bathtub area and i am afraid of water damage happening if i don't fix it quickly. I don't really want to put another soap holder thing there but the problem is if i don't there isn't a hard flat surface for me to affix any new tiles to! I am very handy and don't have time to wait for a man to come and do things for me so i often take it upon myself to fix things around my home. However i need to be sure to do this correctly so that there is no leakage happening and causing rot and water damage behind this area. I was thinking that a piece of drywall needs to be put in to this space first to create a hard surface to affix the tiles to but again not being completely sure if this is correct i am seeking the advise of a professional! HELP!!!!!
