Hello,
I hope you can help me. Last night I was messing about and the bed frame broke. It's a metal frame and unfortunately I have no information about what brand of bed it is, although I think it is from Ikea.

The first photo is from the side that isn't broken.

This picture is from the side that has snapped.

This is the screwing which is supposed to slidee into the holes in the above pictures.
It appears to be a very peculiar set up (to a novice like me) and that there doesn't appear to be much holding the railing and the backboard together.
Do you have any ideas of how I can rectify this problem?
Is there a fixture that could help fix the problem?
Thank you for your help

what you have is 3 spot welds that have failed you need to show the interaction between the broken off bit still attached to the side rail show from above and below looking into any gap
what i am thinking is countersunk machine bolts into the bracket holding it onto the leg and nut and washer to the back
once you take pictures seperate the damage bit and picture that

From what i can make out, the side rail slides onto that plate, which was plug welded or resistance welded onto the upright of the end frame? The 3 welds have broken.
Welding now would ruin the paint in the local area, I think i would drill right through the lot, countersunk bolts and nuts. Only thing is the tube is probably only 1-1.5mm thick. The bolt will probably work loose due to the tube crushing, and require retightneing from time to time.
