hi all
i own a 110v bosch sds with chisel stop, which has packed up.
it will engage chisel put when you go for it there's no "punch" behind it.
any ideas as to why?

apolagies if i've posted in the wrong section.

SDS drills normally have a pneumatic hammer mechanism in them. It sounds like this could be the problem, or it could be the selector that switches the hammer action on and off.

I don't suppose it is still under warranty?

thanks for the reply.
it's not under warranty and to be fair it's had a lot of stick just wondering if it's cost effective to repair.

Take it to a proper toolshop and get an estimate for repairs. If you post your general area someone on here may be able to suggest a good one :wink:

ive had stuff repaired before. its quite often not as expensive as you might think.

also. i have a bosch sds max drill. it had the same thing. no punch. all it turned out to be was a broken spring inside.

i'm in the west yorkshire area if any body knows of a reputable tool repair.
