You guts stole my glory!!!! Awwwwwww?????

Basically:

1st: Any self respecting tool shop "WILL" beat screwfix, as they have a supermarket vs the greengrocer style rivalry.

2nd:
The DeWalt deal is for two piles of sh*t!!! Weak three year old models that couldnt whisk a yogurt!! And yes bottom rung DeWalt is shite!! But:

1st- many shops cannot beat screwfix as they have huge buying power. I have a friend that works for a tool supply company and they cannot beat screwfix.

2nd- Not sure if anyone else has noticed but you have not beaten or matched the deals from screwfix :tongue5:

Laughing

Here is a tip to get tools cheap ......

1) Buy cheap from 'somewhere'

2) Take back tool - to B&Q - and they will give you the cost of that tool in THEIR shop

3) Goto 1

in the end, you got a free tool Thumbright

Did I say that?

(I have not actually done that, BTW!!)

B&Q will only give credit note if you don't produce a reciept, not hard cash Rolling Eyes

Quick question on getting Tools from US.

If I get some Battery Tools from the US - I am thinking specifically of Ryobi 18V Lithium ones, the charger for those is 110V only - NOT multirange - what sort of stepdown transformer could I get away with, given we are talking only enough ooomfh to charge a battery, not actually run a powertool?

I still have not managed to get my hands on one of these Bang Head

I can find them in stock for £99 but all the places that sell them for less than £70 seem to have sold out.

Was going to check B&Q in Preston, but I can't even find them on the B&Q website Bang Head

I have just bought one from screwfix as I need it tomorrow.

Nobody seems to have these around here Confused

Today I tried two B&Q stores, the internet- most of which are out of stock and two large tool shops. I also tried Argos online and all Argos shops in my area.

These are like gold dust Shocked

UHM - Keep looking, mind - if you do happen to find one, send it back to SFX in place of the one you bought there Laughing Laughing

It didn't arrive from screwfix, see here- http://www.ultimatehandyman.co.uk/forum1/screwfix-saturday-delivery-t5875.html

I was so mad that they did not deliver it on Saturday as they promised and so I cancelled the order and bought one from ebay, that was £20 cheaper.

I'm impressed with the machine it is a great piece of kit Wink

£20 cheaper than what....This tool seems to vary vastly between retailers scratch - even within the same parent company (SFX/B&Q)

Having said about B&Q I think they are being very naughty and advertising low prices for products on the web to catch the eye yet they are not actually widely available. This has happened with several items that I have been looking at recently angry

It's £99 at screwfix and £65 everywhere else.

Many online shops are out of stock of them and so is Argos.
