My trusty drill sounds rather strange when drilling - not on hammer.
It sounds like a rattling / clicking noise?
Any ideas?

I have had this on a sds drill and it was not good news.

I don't suppose it is still under guarantee is it?

You might have to have a sneaky look inside and see what is wrong, if you are lucky you will be able to replace the damaged part.

I reckon you will find its the shaft bearing is either going or is on its way out, cheap to fix, mine cost about £5 from Miles tool and machinery and not very hard to do yourself as long as your confident with power tool repairs.

It has done me very proud and has certainly earnt it's money!!
Only thing is I would have to get someone to repair it, so may need a replacement. Looks like Xmas is coming early.

A colleague has bought the new Metabo SDS , its Rubbish, battery life is poo, and when its getting low it does not just slow down it stops dead . Vastly over priced for what it does in my oppinion. I am looking to buy the new 36V Li-ion one soon as mine has done me proud for about 8 years and now is looking a bit tired
