Hi all

I am looking at boarding out my loft, the joist are 3x2. The problem I have is there are 3 lengths of 3x2 ontop of the existing joist. I presume these 3 lenghts are to stop the joist from wagging. 1 in the centre of the loft and 2 lenghts 2 meters each side running the length of the loft. Will it cause a problem if I take the centre 1 out? I am only boarding out 1 side of my loft which is about 10x8.

Thanks a lot

I wouldn't - just leave it as a step or pack it all up to that height?
