Ive been asked to plaster my mates extension, the builder left it in a bad way and he as dot and dabbed the walls and plasterboarded the celing.

He has done a good DIY job, but the gaps in the boards are a bit to big to tape and join with easi fill, so I was going to give them a full skim.

The gaps arent huge, but I would feel better doing a full skim.

Would I be best going round the night before, scrimming all the joins and running a thin coat of multi finish over them, and leave them to go hard. Then go back the next day and skim over in a standard 2 coat?

Obviously I wont do this with the corners and celings, I will scrim these up on the day.

Does that sound the best way todo it?

I was going to use multi as opposed to board finish to give me longer to work with it.

Cheers.

No point mate, you're just making extra work that way and then you'd have to pva the dried skim as well and it'll set faster than what you put on the boards. Scrim it up just before you skim it.
