Hi all,

I had a new boiler put in today, also got the plumber to inspect all my work. Said everything was perfectly fine, all sizing of rads, pipes, valves, feeds, waste, and so on all ok. Pressure tested and checked. Magaclean twintech installed too. No siphoning or gurgling of any traps

To remind you, I replumbed the whole place and put a new central heating system in (apart from the combi).

Many thanks to all the lads who gave me help over the last year.
:thumbright:

Before I started, I had no clue what a trap was! I paid an emergency plumber £200 (or so) a few years ago to change a pushfit elbow that was leaking in my kitchen. Could have down it myself for a few quid

Yup ran the shower, heating system , all heats up perfectly. Only gripe is with the shower. It doesn't seem very hot even though its on the full. You can out your hand in underneath on full heat but the wash hand basin is hotter (same feed). Its a mira excel, perhaps its an internal setting, will investigate tomorrow

Probably a breeze for you guys doing this stuff but seems daunting at the start. One step at a time is the key for me :-)

Excels ship with the temp limited to about 48c. You need to over ride this to get it hotter
