can anyone reccomend a decent bench grinder i do a bit of alluminium polishing in my spare time,i have used the budget grinders but they grind to a halt (excuse the pun) when i apply pressure
a friend says i need a minimum of a 550 watt motor theres one on Ebay at the moment made by Axminster, looks right for the job but i thought i'd check with the pro's before splashing out with the hard earned

cheers folks

Most grinding wheels don't like aluminium as it is a soft metal and clogs them, make sure you buy a wheel specific for ali. This could be the cause of your problem, overloading the grinder.
