Hi All

I am a total novice and newcomer so please don't laugh.

I have a Beko WM6123W washing mashine. It has packed up and i have been told i need to replace the brushes.

Obviously to do this i need to remove the motor. I have manged to remove the front 2 screws holding the motor in place but It appears that there are 2 more screws at the back which seem impossible to reach ?

Could anyone please tell me that i am right and it is impossible to move the flippin motor ?

Thanks in advance

James

Pair of brushes available here:

http://www.4beko.co.uk/washing-machine/ ... ref=620362

You could ring the help line number and ask them how to get at the back bolts on the motor, if no one comes up with a solution on here.

What tools are you using, probably just a case of needing a smaller ratchet, or different spanner....?
What is in the way?

I'm not familiar with the machine, but shouldn't be too challenging.

Hi

I am using a plain old alan key (this was successful in removing the front screws). The screws at the back are in an impossible position to reach.

Thanks

I managed to change the brushes ok in the end.

It hasn't made the slightest bit of difference. I am at a total loss as to what the problem is.

I found that the high speed motors can just die, probably shorted turns, which don't show up with a simple continuity test.
