Hi, I am using a Beko TZDA504F Freezer for the first time and on plugging it in the red temp. light comes on, this is not mentioned in the manual please can you tell me if it's is a problem. I have turned it off until I know what it means :dunno: Please can you help?

plug it in and enjoy it is only telling you the temperature is to high
it will go out at somewhere between -15 and -19 as a guess :dunno:

another but unlikely choice is its a "power available" indicator

I've got a Beko chest freezer, (relatively new), I don't remember ever seeing the red light on, even when first plugged in, and in fact the red light has an exclamation mark symbol next to it on the casing.

OK, so I've now sorted out the destruction manual and I have to say it's not entirely clear:-

Quote:
Starting: Insert plug in wall socket and switch on. green light will glow and the compressor will be heard running


Quote:
Freezer operation: red LED will light if the temperature in the freezer is too high, the LED will operate 45 minutes after putting into operation of the freezer, then it must go off, if the LED comes on during the operation this may mean that a defect has occurred
