Sreed, how are you useing it? is it straight from the tub? or do you thin it any?
Ready mixed will stand some thining, albeit not a great deal, it's desigend to be high solids, low water.
If after a little thining it still is grabing, try either, sizeing the lining, or Zinsser Sheldz.
If this don't work..........I give up! _________________ I'm not a roman mum, I'm a kike, a yid, a heebie, a hook-nose, I'm kosher mum, I'm a Red Sea pedestrian, and proud of it! |

Thanks for your reply
I am advised by paper manufacture to use it straight from the tub.
What is the best way to apply it,ie brush roller or do i need to do it with a pasting machine. |

Tel's right, without thining, it will not go through a machine.
Sounds like you are useing Laura Ashley paper, but a short pile roller will do it, I would thin the stuff in line with the manfr's recomend's just to make life that bit easyer and save the potential of paste ridges under the paper on drying.
I seem to recall that Beeline used to have two marks on there tub's for different dilution rates? I think that one was for a spredder and the other for brush, but I think that the maximum amout you could thin by was around 6pts, without any loss of addhesion.
It might be, that you might have to do a little experamentation with it, to find the best for that job.
Be interesting to know how you get on, what tweeks you make to it also just what paper are you are lumberd with. _________________ I'm not a roman mum, I'm a kike, a yid, a heebie, a hook-nose, I'm kosher mum, I'm a Red Sea pedestrian, and proud of it! |

i used some harlequin ready mixed paste once, it was recommended for the paper, horrible stuff, dried to quick and caused alsorts of bubbling problems, in the end I went back to powdered solvite and the job was much easier _________________ Decking |

Thanks again for your help
Not sure what paper they are using (its good quality not L A) as its a job with a contractor and a big one at that.
I have to line before so will i have to use readymix for that aswell. The walls are about 12-14ft,will adding water or pasting the wall aswell as the paper give me more time to match.
Thanks again |

Adding some water will help, but if it wet time that you really need, try Zinsser Sheildz. _________________ I'm not a roman mum, I'm a kike, a yid, a heebie, a hook-nose, I'm kosher mum, I'm a Red Sea pedestrian, and proud of it! |
