Yeah, I'm familiar with the terminology and cooking methods associated with tandoori meals but the name I used for it is from Jo's (Mrs k_e) 'understanding' of curries :roll: and the word 'tandoori' doesn't appear on our menu. Force of habit really.....

Cognac. But any decent quality Brandy will do.
