Mmmm speaker holes in the ceiling. Went with some rather tastey KEFs.....WAY too much overkill, but I got a good price

Window reveals put in last....hate doing them, so put them off till last. Stuck these bad boys in place, framed them up and let them set overnight....

Got in touch with a man who knows a man and a plastererererer appeard. Blokes top at his work - super smooth finish. I don't mind doing the building work, but when it's the finish at stake, I had over to the pro's (sometimes).

He starts....

Meanwhile, the shower needed fitting. this wall was not plastered....was going to be using the waterproof boarding I love so much. It's a weird 'ol pattern which was going to be a feature wall.

Put the shower (upside down) to test fit with a bit of board to simulate the thickness of what was going to be there....all looked good......I thought. :angryfire:

Turns out I'd got something COMPLETELY wrong and the collars didn't leave enough room for the shower to screw on. Nightmare.

Ended up driving ALL over the place looking for a small machine shop to mill them down. Ended up finding a bloke who didn't bat an eyelid and said come back tomorrow and I'll sort it tonight!!!

Left them in his hands.....went back and he charged me SIX QUID!!!!!!!!!!!! and he'd cut them down 6mm :thumbleft: RESULT!!!!

Below you can see them after having the collars cut back.....

Floor went down.....(I think I've lost some of the order here....)

And then I used another pack of floor to build the panels for my toilet and basin frame. Some are screwed, but removable and others are held in place with strong magnets!!! :thumbleft:

All the lines match up with the floor...so it looks neat. Saw it in a hotel, so I've swiped the idea.....

This is the front

The back is a 9mm WPB ply, with battons that fit snugly into the frame. Laminate boards were scratched and scored and stuck with Pinkgrip to hold....

Here you can see it slotted into place.....

Next the counter was put in for the sink - it's Durapal board from a Window place. Nice and white, like the sink. Going for black/white theme here.....

Tap was one of those stupid popup waste things with a rod down the back ::b ::b ::b ::b HATE setting them up!!! Still, all sorted now. The edges were capped with Window cill edging...the plastic stuff. Looks smart.

Lost the pics of the karzi being fitted. But the cistern was screwed to the wall, connected to water and same boards fitted.

The back actually slides up - Durapal window board put on the top as a shelf. Lifts off to peer inside!

Next, blinds......Called a bloke who knew a bloke and a blind man shown up. Turned out to be 10 quid more for this guy to get blinds (from Hilleries, if you've got them?) AND fit them!!!!

black, with a silver sparkly bits - look nice (I think)...

Oh, nearly forgot......where the cabinet boards meet at the corner, it looks a bit rough....I've got some stainless steel edging to go all the way down!!!

Lost my next set of pics, but the shower cubicle was fitted and then the shower.....this is the final result. Well pleased!!

Just a bath left to fit now. Cut the tap holes, mounted the taps.....just need to fit!!

Can't wait.....I'm so slow and having a second project on the go isn't helping much!!!!

Cheers....

Got bored last night so I installed the bath in my own house. Moving at a glacial pace, it should be done in the next month. Maybe.

Just left to do:

connect shower/bath to drains
Skirting boards
trims

so close, yet so far away....
