Hi Guys,

Just purchased a house taken around 3 months, the first visit we noticed water marks on the kitchen ceiling. seller said they had it checked and it was all dandy.

This has obviously got much worse 3 months later, got the bath panel off today and resealed the bath asap but found this.

Is it a strip and replace the floor job? Ill put some pictures below of the kitchen ceiling and bathroom floor above.

Cheers

First thing is to cure the source of the problem. It seems as if water drips past the bath tub. I can't tell if what is on the floor is chipboard or some lining on top of the flooring. If you poke the floor with a screw driver, is the floor soft? If yes, would you like a new bathroom? I am bit beyond my depth to suggest, if you have water going passed the silicon round the bath tab if it is the case of cleaning and applying new silicone of the bath has been fitted too badly.

The kitchen ceiling is the least of your worries at the moment and it is easily repairable/fixable/patchable
