I've never seen one in action. Does it speak? If so is it a man or woman that tells you where to go?

It talks, to tell you which way to turn, it's a mans voice, so no conflict there, we can both get lost together!

The good part about it, it will also play MP3/MP4 and Video! you just need a SD Card with them on. :wtf:

The one I have just been playing with, has the whole of Europe on it!
Just had a look at Dublin!

What a bit of kit! you dont get this level of stuff on a TOMTOM, esp for this money! :cb

Worth every penny, in fact it's cheaper than the majority of tomtom's I've looked at! :thumbright: :thumbright:

Absolute bargin, I would recomend to anybody!

Does any man admit to being lost though? It's a macho thing!

I was reading in my photography mag that a lot of those scandisk cards on ebay are very good fakes..............you can check the speed they run at apparantly, and theres a scandisk phoneline to check the serial number on the card.

Does not surprise me in the least as they come from Hong Kong, however it works and thats all that matters, the cheapest I have seen elsewhere is a 1GB in Tesco. But what people forget is that there are not that many manufacturers so they more than likely come out of the same factory, used to see IT components and systems and used to make a small fortune on third party memory and oem software, whilst the best profit was always on cables, scandalous really as you could get third party printer cables for a quarter of the price of the branded ones and guess what, they were made at the same factory by the same Chinese folks!

Tryanything
That's a good way of getting to places, taking the scenic route! :thumbright: Now I'm confused, does that make you macho for not getting lost in the first place?

I always fancied doing orienteering. I imagine it to be a good laugh in fine weather and scenic area.

I thought Women would have been safer with Sat-Nav. just goes to show how naive I am

Woman follows sat nav into brook

"Firefighters in Devon had to come to the rescue of a woman who got stuck in a brook while following instructions from her satellite navigation system.

The driver phoned for help from the middle of Grindle Brook near Woodbury Salterton in east Devon shortly before 2230 BST on Thursday

She had burnt out the clutch as she tried to free the car from the mud.

Two fire crews and a road rescue vehicle were called to the scene and the car was removed from the brook.

Devon Fire Control said the woman told them she had been following instructions from her satellite navigation system when she ended up in the brook. "

Lived in Woodbury for 6 months when first came down here and the Woodbury people always used to laugh at the Woodbury Salterton people - now I know why
