ihad one of those weeks last week where i kept doing stupid things.

i went to the plumbers merchants on the Monday, bought a load of gear and handed over a business cheque as normal.
got home Monday night to hear a message on the answer machine from the boss at the plumbers merchants "rich, sorry m8 but you forgot to sign the cheque"
so i went straight back in the morning and apologised. to his annoyance he then found his staff banked it Monday night.
i needed to get a few other bits i had forgotten anyway so i said "don't matter, just tear it up when they send it back, I'll write you another one out now and include what i have today".
on Wednesday i realised that not only did i forget to sign the cheque on Monday, i went and left the pipe there that i bought on Tuesday when i went back to correct Monday's mistake::b

guess what, i checked the bank statements on-line today,

My bank cashed a cheque not signed!!!!

You could send an invoice to the bank for your time and costs, once you sort this out. Boxing

i can believe that. thing is though, what if i had lost that book? it goes to show that all the efforts they go to to make us protect ourselves more don't mean a thing as they don't even do the basics at source.

...slight change of topic warning...but...

What do you think about the fact retail outlets are stopping taking cheques?
It started at the petrol stations and now its spreading, thing is a cheque is supposed to be a valid form of payment, it reallys pi@@es me off these places refuse a perfectly legal method of payment. cussing

That is really bad cussing

I'd be very mad about that.

Banks seem to get away with murder.
