its true the more bends/elbows will cause more resistance in the pipe run... but i wouldn;t of thought that small detour would cause the rads to slow down.
It could be the system needs balanceing, a slow pump, undersized boiler. _________________ www.hintonheating.com

Hello Hinton,
You said earlier mate that the way he has done this shouldn't cause the rads to heat up slowly upstairs, bearing in mind he has done 4 bedrooms upstairs like this would that still be the case. If it isn't the reason they are slow to heat what do you reckon it is I hate to think what is hidden that we can't see, that is probably where the problem lies glad I'm just a painter. Mind you he prob was as well |

He's good at pipe bending though |
He's shite at pipe bending a good plumber would have done it without the elbows and taken it over the top of the socket not destroying the skirting |
FFS... it could airlock!
 |
FFS then drill a hole in the top and create a water feature to go with the rest of the abortion he created r
Joking apart i agree with your earlier post it would have looked better if they were run on top of the skirting all the way _________________ SILVER---------HOG |

This was a "proper" plumber not a Diyer. He didnt offer the client the choice of moving the socket. She wondered why the rads upstairs took ages to heat up Four bedrooms and all were done like this |

Just seen a gas pipe run through a socket , not around it, through it. I'll upload a picture once I figure out how.
