I know its not really tools but B&Q have all their carpets half price. I got a nice one yesterday for 2.99/m2. And if you use a tradepoint card it goes down to 2.52/m2 and free delivery if over £50.
So i have got a 60m2 roll being delivered for £152

It just shows you what their normal prices are like.

Carpet is one area where a top-rate local independent can often get carpet professionally laid on the floor for far less than the supply cost of the carpet itself from one of the sheds. If you're not to fussy about the pattern and colour, most small independents have a few rolls of carpet in stock that they use for commercial premises and sell at a fraction of the cost for other colours/patterns of the same stuff. Expertly laid and heat-seamed it can work out very economical indeed.
