Hi,

we are coming to the end of a large building project and are now choosing the flooring. We have looked at Quickstep laminate for both the kitchen/dining area and a large entrance hall.

Can anyone give me a rough idea what the cost per square metre might be for fitting?

My local shop charges 12 pounds.

At a guess you are looking at 2 - 3 days work at £150 - £200 per day for the whole job to be done reasonably well.
Given a standard sized kitchen/dining area and entrance hall.

Don't know how they are able to quote per square meter. A square room with 1 doorway would take about the same ammount of time as an entrance hall with 4 or 5 door ways even though the hallway might be 1/4 the area.

£10-£15 per metre depending, as mike1972 says, on how many doors etc!

I charge £10 m2 to fit the laminate flooring.

Each doorway is £15.

Beading is £1.50 per meter.
