Leaves just on the turn and saw my first geese flying in yesterday afternoon. We gets tens of thousands flying in every year to Montrose basin and last night you could hear skein after skein flying over gently chuckling to themselves - very peaceful after the racket the seagulls have been making all year. Over the next few weeks it'll be like the Battle of Britain up there, incredible sight.

Just in case anyones the slightest bit interested heres the link to the Basin webcam - a bit clunky, but you get some idea of the scale of it.

I walked the dog along an old railway track yesterday. The leaves were falling all along the track, it was lovely crunching as we walked along, really autumnal. :thumbright:

It's a pleasant noise as they fly over, must be a good place to live.

For those in the know, my auxiliary/booster heater cut in for the first time yesterday on my Seat Alhambra TDi :thumbright:
At least it confirms that it works from earlier on in the year.
