Hi,

Being a nosey type, I wonder if someone would be able to let me in to the professional plumbers secret of what the brassware is for under the sinks in the office WC.

There's a cylinder about 150mm x 30mm Dia and there's pipe working running to both the hot and cold taps, yet the feed seems to be only from the hot pipe.

I've noticed this setup before but only in commercial premises and always under sinks.

I'd love to know what's the 'system' is called and what does it do?

Is it as simple as an industrial filter?

Many thanks

W.

It could be a thermostatic blending/mixing valve that controls the hot water temperature coming out the hot tap maybe
