A motorised dish will allow you to 'swing' the dish through an 'arc' of sky where a sucession of different satellites reside. There are DOZENS of satellites covering Europe and the UK, a lot of them offering duplicate programming to that already seen via the usual 'Sky' satellite but whereas a lot (most) of Sky can be encrypted, some of these channels are free-to-air via other satellites.
