Oh well, I give up! Anyway, if we finish 6th this time around, we'd have done well  How we did not win the title last year, I'll never know? I still have difficulty getting my head around United (Manchester, that is), getting their hand around a cup that had LFC written all over it

At least, I have F1 & Schumi to look forward to.

I think LFC will certainly finish in the bottom 6 this time round.

Imagine the embarrassment finishing below Manchester City.

The most painful thing would be for MU to win it. They would then become the most succesful domestic league team of all time.

The way it happened (If MU win it), with us capitulating last year and giving them the title will be very painful indeed.

I know there's some good banter to be had, but I think anyone genuinely writing Liverpool off for a 4th place finish is being a little gung ho in their Liverpool hate. They are currently only 5 points behind 5th, and only 7 points behind 4th with a game in hand over the team in that position. In a season where everyone's beating everyone, that's not many points.

I'll be the first to say that Liverpool are playing the worst football of all the teams near the top. I will also concede that I don't expect them to get to fourth. But to write off any chance is extremely premeture.

It is ridiculous that we relly so heavily on Stevie and Torres, but if those two start firing on all cylinders again, which could happen at any time, then a sense of beliefe will return to the rest of the squad. This season it would only take a run of four wins on the bounce to change the complexion of any team's season. Do Liverpool look well placed to go on that run? Of course not. Could they though? Of course they could.

The season is too tight to be writing anyone off over so few points.

Liverpool won't be getting any stronger until we get a change in ownership. I am not Rafa's biggest fan, and I was saying he was living on the success of Istanbul too much before most other Liverpool fans. How good you are is judged on your league position. But the problems are even worse at ownership level.

Rafa can't be replaced by two owners who can't agree on the colour of the sky, and any move to do so now would increase the levels of fail at the club. Which manager would want to work for Gillette and Hicks? No-one on my wish list would do it.

Rafa's a fool to himself, as many of his decisions were made to spite the owners. The way he treated keane, who is a quality striker, just because they wouldn't let him have barry, was cutting off his nose to spite his face.

Liverpool will not be a truly great club again until we get at least a change of ownership, but probably management too.

Quite true, python.

When a manager gets to know that Yugens Clinsman is being 'head hunted' to replace him, well chances are he'll feel unhappy and carry on his decisions with an ''I dont care free attitude''?

Raffa had no choice but to tell the press that LFC will finish 4th this campaign  I am beginning to have my doubts?? In as much as python is right in saying none of the top teams are consistent,
The trouble with our (LFC) current form is that, when the top teams loose, we dont capitalise and take points off lesser teams?

In as much as it is quite SWEET to beat the Man Uniteds, etc, there is no net gain if we then get beaten by all the small outfits/teams :help:

I am just a very confused fan. ::b

Ofcourse, Raffa cannot be sacked, as this will distabilise the club even more. Add to that, where will the money come to pay him off? Add to that, which manager will take his place?? Only one of the WANNABE managers (I'll not name names?).

One thing is certain (I'll bet on it). Should LFC finish below the 4th spot, Mr Bennitez will go on holidays and wont come back! He'll walk out on the job!! :pukeleft: promises promises!!!

Raffa won't walk as I think he is on a £20mill payout should he get sacked.

We (Man Utd) are having a terrible period at the moment, especially with the list of injury's but we are still in it. Having said that Man sh1tty who have drawn as many games as L'pool did last year are still in the hunt. Villa beat us the other week and so have Fulham.

In previous years the top 4 would be several points ahead of the next batch of teams, this year its a little more open but I still think we will break the record held by L'pool. I just hope King Eric is on the Kop when we do
