You can get the corner tiles off. If you cut the grout lines out, (or partly out) you will minimise the chances of damaging bordering tiles.

Take it nice and easy and slowly.

Thanks, well I know now it isn't a total loss. If anyone can recommend a decent tiler in the Manchester/Macclesfield area who would be able to do this then that would be great, if not I'll contact my local tops tiles.

I'll try to post some photos up if all goes well.

The tiling looks very poor as does the detail around the light switch. I'm guessing that any tiling around the window will be equally poor. I would take it off and get a real tiler in to do it properly.
