I have discovered some more Alt codes whereby holding down the Alt key and typing a number in will produce symbols.
Some of these may be of use to members when doing quotes or adding text to drawings.

These will only work when entered using a number keypad (to the right on your keyboard) with the Numbers Lock ON.
They will NOT work with the number keys above the letters on a keyboard.
If using a laptop without a numbers keypad then an external keypad can be used but the Alt+ Number code must be followed by keying ‘Enter’

That ¢, is that meant to be a centre line symbol of some archaic currency symbol or something?

Pi symbol would be handy Dave, Musical note one is close, but not quite

Hitch,
The ¢ is supposed to be the symbol for centre line and is used by some to indicate circumference measurements, but, as a one-time draughtsman I always used it to indicate the centre line of a component that I was drawing. Especially if one half of the drawing was a sectional and the other half was full face.

As for Pi, I am looking.

Edit:
Alt + 227 used to show as Pi but not now, don't know why.

The caret over a vowel is what I need, including the w and y. Is it possible?

No "w" and "y" but the vowels are here:

Edit: They're here: http://www.starr.net/is/type/htmlcodes.html

MC,
The instructions in this link do not work on my Win 7 but don‘t know which OS you have:
Typing the Welsh Circumflex Using standard Microsoft shortcuts or commands

So try this:

Open a MS Word document and go to where you wish to insert the letter with a circumflex.

Click Insert (on the toolbar) -> select Special Characters.

In the window that opens, drop the menu and select which font you are using (eg Arial)

The chart will change to display what symbols are available in that font.

Click on which letter you want (upper or lower case) and click Insert.

Â Ê Î Ô Û â ê î ô û

As for the w and y, there is a section in the above link that may work for you.

I tried my best but failed at the last hurdle of ŵ & ŷ

You can copy and paste these two if you wish.

Thanks to Wrinx,
These are the Alt codes to add to your list:

Alt
+ 0194 = Â
+ 0226 = â
+ 0202 = Ê
+ 0234 = ê
+ 0206 = Î
+ 0238 = î
+ 0212 = Ô
+ 0244 = ô
+ 0219 = Û
+ 0251 = û

The Welsh W and y do not show in the list.

The HTML codes don't work on here nor in MS Word, BUT that is a good link, John.
There are a couple of good links to some free font downloads under the "WELSH FONTS" heading.
