Handy thing, I use a lot of symbols in my essays, saves using character map.
Though to be honest before I got to uni I can't think I ever found them useful except for making the zelda triforce.

These are great. I always forget them. I have found a site that helps, spam removed It's got a big list of all the most commonly used icons, you just click and it's automatically copied.
