This week is Hull Fair week and for those that don't know it's the largest travelling fair in Europe. I had my usual wander round to see the latest rides and attractions. Just window shopping really - hook-a-duck is my limit these days, oh and a burger and chips.

One ride caught my attention. Eight riders at a time. Locked into their seats and spun furiously 360 degs on this gigantic contraption. The attached pics show the technical data for the machine and the requirements that must be met before you're allowed on. I couldn't get a decent picture of the actual ride though.

See what you make of the final requirement :wtf:

And those that fit the restrictions actually PAY to be tortured!

Like over here at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, they pay to ride the Dippers and other rides that require a clean pair of undies when they get off the ride.

when it comes to travelling fairgrund rides i always get nervous about whos bolting these things together, last time the fair came to warrington i watched in awe as these lads erected one of the rides,no H&S here, climbing the frame work with a bag of nuts and bolts, straddling the frames attaching cross members and the like
on this particular day it was lashing it down,I know when i.m working outside in the rain i do tend to rush things a little cut the odd corner but then my work doesnt involve spinning a lot of folk around at fast speeds
after reading this post back to myself i now know why i'm a complete chicken when it comes to using these contraptions

not done a warrington walking day for years Canny, you take your life in you hands just eating from the burger vans. done a few fits for van owners last year, paid out in 5 ers and 10 ers which stunk to high heaven of stale fat :puke: .

my days of sitting in a metal gage with 1/2 foam seat for comfort are gladly behind me.
