yes but that was when we won and were hopeful of signing players to strengthen the squad. now the squad is only weakened further. no fit left back. made a profit once again in the transfer window. that man is an absolute disgrace. and ultimately it will cost the club massively. wouldnt be surprised if rafa is writing a resignation letter right about now.

no other club does this sort of sh*t. and that embarrassing interview where he moaned about how he couldnt afford 40 million pound players. does he actually take the fans for idiots?

if we manage to stay up with or without rafa.... without probably now. as he will surely resign tomorrow at the earliest.

if we manage to stay up we must surely be the first team to be promoted.... cut the wage bill and not get relegated :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

i just wish he would f*ck off

Gah.... I hate it when you become insufferably smug over the Toon winning...... oh, well, there's always next week when it become MY turn to be insufferably smug when they lose!

BTW, did you see the GNR or were you fixed to the TV watching the match?

yea i watched the gnr. actually i live on the course basically. 2 houses past the nook roundabout. so i can see runners from the sitting room window. i walked down to the roundabout to cheer mo farah on. he goes so quick. then back into the house to watch him finish. love gnr day like. its geet good.

at about half past 3 i crossed the course and walked down to the westoe to see the game. absolutely awesome goal line clearence from lascelles like :huray: :huray: that got some cheer at the westoe. there was loads of strangers in who had done the gnr. all funny accents and that. they thought we was all mad

wooowwwwwwww was absolutely class today like. went to watch south shields play york city in the fa cup 3rd qualifying round.

york city are a canny few leagues above south shields. but south shields prevailed with an injury time winner finishing the game as 3-2 winners

bring on the next round, with a bit of luck we will stay in until the 3rd round of the fa cup and get a top team at home.

Well, at least you've got something to cheer about this weekend - can't see you getting much change out of Liverpool tomorrow.

ha aye probably not but for today its just amazing. the attendance was 2806 think there was a few hundred york fans. £8 a ticket. couldnt get a pint coz the bar queue's were manic. so stood in the p*ssing down rain watching the lads play. julio arca scored a mint goal like. and then the winner came in the 91st minute from a corner after it looked very likely that shields would get beat once it went 2-2 like
