currently doing my own wet room, 2 weeks off so if i don't now i never will.
i have a soil pipe 500 mm away from the corner through the roof tiles, had the idea of cutting it down to around 700mm off the floor and fitting an air admit valve and removing the flashing and replace the tile. all will be hidden behind base unit cupboards.

can anyone see a problem with this? it would solve a huge issue with hiding the existing pipe with tall units.

thanks

Building regs part H tells you what you can and cannot do. Basically you can use a air admittance valve IF you have an existing open vented soil pipe to drain. Therefore unless you have an additional vented pipe you cannot put an AAV on it. :-)
