Hi,

At some point I will need to cut a floor joist, and then join it offset. I am looking for a couple of supports like what is shown here http://www.psb-scaffolding.co.uk/sales/ ... le%20Props but the height I have to work is about 800mm. Everything I find seems to start at 1 metre.

Any pointers for any gadgets I could use to support/push the floor upwards for a short while? ( I know I could improvise with wood, car jack and all sorts of other things, I am only trying to figure out if there is a straightforward solution).

Cheers

Can you not put the replacement piece in before you cut the old piece out?
