Hi,

I am planning on changing the light fitting in my hall from the existing single light fitting, to three separate light fittings (the hall is T-shaped and the light at the moment is terrible!!)

Anyway, the light is on a 2-way switch arrangement. So do I need to have some complicated wiring arrangement to each fitting, or is it permissible to run a 2 core radial cable to each of the new fitting from the existing one, and connect via chocbox etc.

For info, all the new wiring will be located above a new p/board ceiling.

Cheers,

Scott

You should just be able to run twin core and earth from the existing switched live and neutral and earth on your existing light fitting and then connect it to the other two lights in parallel.

For the connections, you could try the wagobox as they seem much better quality than the chocboxes.

These pages will help you to identify the switched live and neutral-

Shouldn't you help your wife get the fan/light in the bedroom working first?

Anyway - 2-way switching is irrelevant. However it's done it will end up with a switched live and a neutral connected to the existing light. Just run a twin & earth cable (not 2-core!) from there to the new lights.
