Ladies of the forum! There are a few, I assume you all dance. What is a comfortable heel height for dancing shoes? Measure your heels! I threw my stilettos away years ago and want to buy some more but as I have large feet I'll be ordering online and need advice. I've seen 3 styles that I love but the lowest is 4" and highest 6".

Dancing? What's that then? I have had no social life in so long now I can't even remember, lol.

Sorry Louise...I've lived in Crocs for the past year at least so i'm no help to you. 6"? I wouldn't even get off the couch with those on.

Whatever you buy, make sure you get some of those nice gel pads for under the ball area of your foot. I have fond memories of those.

Can we at least start to post some pictures so those of us with shoes fetishes can start to get actively involved :thumbright:

I told my oh that it was about time I ditched the walking boots, trainers and wellies and bought some va va voom shoes! Trouble is that I have a limited choice with large feet and it's been so long since I wore high heels that I can't remember what height is right. Judging by the seriously dodgy sites that I've had to look at because they sell big shoes, 6" is a lapdancer's shoe! I reckon 4-5" will do.
I've seen the designer shoe sites but they only go to 9 and I'm a 10, they are only £300 a pair! I was thinking under £50.

Ali and Bobbie (I know you like to dance),
I'll post a few pics.

I read/heard a good line recently ...

"The question is not why a woman would wear Stilettos, but why, after wearing them once, they would ever wear them again" :thumbright:

And when I just googled to see if I could get the 'proper' quote I came across this :

Can a guy wear these stiletto boots with jeans?

My boots have a 3" heel, so I reckon 4" max. How do girls walk on 6" heels, they're too high?

Ohhhhhh my toes have just cringed and hidden under a cushion.

I have to say though, I always felt much more feminine in heels than I ever do in flats.

I dont know if I could go back to heels like that but if your boots have got heels then you're halfway there already Louise.

Ps ....have you ever considered changing your name to loise? Cos I always seem to type that and I have to go back to put the u in.

Ali,

Call me what you like, my friends used to spell it Lousie! Lou is a good compromise. :thumbright:
I know it's not a good idea getting high heels after so long wearing lower shoes but my inner rebel has re-appeared again, of course the rest of the attire would have to be bought to go with the new va va voom shoes and the shock is that my oh approves.
A girl can't live in jeans and walking boots forever. Don't you think we deserve to bring out the rebelious streak after years of being good mums? I don't want to feel mumsy any more. It's also my birthday soon and I think I need a change!
