Pts plumbing are doing the above from oct-jan. Probably a few screwbits to make up the numbers but still seems a good deal to me. Might get myself one if funds are there at the end of the month.

I'm always suspiciouos of cheap drill bits. I have zillions that have gone blunt quickly and are wasting space in my tool boxes. "Sharpen them" I hear you say...... that'll be the new drill sharpening tool I bought that has never even been opened then......

I'd rather pay a decent price for a decent set that (hopefully) last a long time.

I agree that the bits are generally useless but there are some advantages to a large set. You get a box to store everything in so when the bit blunts just replace it with a decent DeWalt or Bosch. Also you have a huge range to screwdriver and drill bits for the once in a lifetime job.

I do hate when they give you 30 spaces for a PZ2 bits as they are generally rubbish. All I have is 2 or 3, 50mm diamond Wera PZ2 and it’s great, ... as long as I don’t lose them

I find cheap drills are more frustrating than anything else. Id expect to pay that for a cheap set of 1-13mm HSS.

well, I have splashed some cash on buying this set. the first impression is "about what i expected to get" quaiaty wise.

pro:
all in one box
I need half the stuff in the kit anyway
the case though cheap plastic is not to bad and looks to be holding the stuff in place.
the case also have 2 good carry handles that made it easier to lug it about
have found a good spot in the van which fits it nicely

con:
every bit is a cheap bit
it came with the thinnest metal rule I have ever seen...that was already bent(I have a my good set anyway)
I will loses half the bit anyway:lol:

Cheers for the update, haven't got one myself yet. But still very tempted, just keeping an eye on the funds.

I had one of these the other day when in PTS for some sink bits.

Nice set, cheap but worth having kicking about in the van for when you lose your decent bits!

Screwfix one looks more of a kit, with screwdriver/allen keys.

Good price for a present.

But just rechecked and still think the pts one looks better as it looks more drill dedicated.
