I am about to order and put down a gravel drive. The ground works have been done and I have 8" in MOT type 1 that has been rollered.

The gravel I am putting down is an angular gravel and measures anywhere from about 15mm to 30mm but I am not sure of what depth to put this down to to get the best stability???

Let me know your experiences and thoughts.

Thanks
Mark

Is that because it's pebbles and not an angular gravel?

nah I just dont like it a few neighbours have smaller angular gravel and theirs (more often than mine) ends up all over the pavement and makes the road look a proper mess.

The main problem I have with mine is it's hard to walk on and get the buggy across.

The best stuff I have seen that is gravel based is the resin bonded gravel http://goo.gl/ZbXCN
