Dewalt power tools are one of the favoured makes amongst power tool manufacturers, Dewalt tools are actually manufactured by the same firm that makes Black & Decker tools.
Dewalt make a vast range of tools and make everything from entry level drills to top of the range woodworking machines. Dewalt are one of the few firms that has made many of it's batteries interchangable and so any dewalt 18 volt battery will fit into any dewalt 18 volt cordless tool. Most of the battery chargers will also charge any voltage of battery from the 9.6 volt right up to the 18 volt. The 24 volt range and above uses a totally different shape charger.
