When fitting a Kitchen it is a good idea to fit a splash back between the wall and floor cupboards, this normally only needs to be heat resistant behind the cooker.

Tiles are often
used for a splash back and can look
very well if done properly, stainless
steel is very popular for behind a
cooker also. If there is no risk of
heat you can use wood or even acrylic
sheet! This kitchen has a beech effect splash back and a tiled splash back behind the cooker. The beech effect wood is simply cut to size and held in place with panel adhesive.

To fix a splash back like this is very straight forwards, simply get it cut to the correct size and then glue it to the wall behind with panel adhesive or a suitable instant grab adhesive. An item of this weight will need a batten underneath to support it until the adhesive has gone off. |
