Perspex® is often used in the manufacture of sun beds but a special type of Perspex® is used which does not  contain a Ultra Violet blocker. Perspex® could be used as an anti-vandal material for greenhouses as most stones will simply bounce off! Once again the Perspex® that does not contain the Ultra Violet Blocker should be used or else nothing will grow!

Due to the thickness of which Perspex® is manufactured and the thousands of different colours and tints it is especially suitable for use as a anti vandal/theft material. I have obtained some 10mm thick Perspex® which is a dark tinted colour, I am going to cut it and then fix it inside of the rear windows of my van as this is an area which is likely to be targeted by thief's or vandals. Once in place even if the glass window is broken, the inside of the van and more importantly the handle on the inside of the van cannot be opened! You can see more here- how to protect van rear windows
